Join me on a captivating journey as we transform my father's oceanfront ranch into the enchanting Sugar Beach Ranch. This tale intertwines the essence of legacy, nature, and wellness, bringing you into a world where deep-rooted passion meets modern-day tranquility.

The legacy of my father, Chris CM Murphy OAM, is one of inspiration and dedication. Renowned as the former manager of INXS, his influence extended far beyond the music industry. He was a beacon of sustainable living, a lover of nature, and a passionate advocate for performance horses, particularly in the realm of polo. In 2015, he envisioned a sanctuary on his 60-acre rural haven in South Ballina, NSW, merging his love for surfing, breeding performance horses, and agriculture.

Following his poignant passing in early 2021, I embraced the opportunity to carry forward his vision with a fresh perspective. Together with equine therapist Maxime Willems, we crafted Equine Wellness programs that utilize retired polo horses to guide guests on a journey of self-discovery and harmony with nature. These programs form the cornerstone of the diverse retreats and experiences available at Sugar Beach Ranch, catering to women's wellness initiatives, corporate getaways, and enriching school holiday programs.

As a seasoned events professional, I take immense pride in ensuring every aspect of the guest experience at Sugar Beach Ranch is exceptional. Curated exclusively for women, by women, Sweet Retreats is where joy becomes a ritual and nature serves as our wellness sanctuary. At Sugar Beach Ranch, we cherish the art of slow living and providing everyone with soul-enriching experiences that go beyond the ordinary. 

From alfresco art sessions to tranquil yoga with the horses, whale watching from the deck in winter, to delectable beachside dining, invigorating sand scrubbing rituals to soul-soothing sound healing, and luxurious glamping escapades—every detail is thoughtfully curated for a holistic and lavish retreat. 

Infused with elements from my father's life, such as tree-planting ceremonies in his memorial forest and savoring produce from the ranch, each experience resonates deeply with personal touch.
