Steps for selling your Online Course
I help many of my Business Coaching clients either create their online courses & market them so they are successful. As an added bonus, my other Business, Sticky Studio also builds the membership portals making it a one-stop-shop and a far simpler project to undertake.
Below you’ll find 6 steps to help with launching your Online Program :
#1: Relate your email opt-in to your online course
Work backwards to calculate your timeline. Allow additional time as timelines can sometimes blow out.
Create an email opt-in which relates to the topic of your online course. It’s a great way to build a list while your Design Team are completing the build of your Online Portal. Your opt-in can be a PDF, Video or Audio. Whichever suits you best.
Also remember to have call to action on your opt-in too!
#2: Use your Social Media channels to drive awareness of your opt-in
Use your social media channels to tell people about your opt-in. Also consider running some ads on both Facebook & Instagram to extend your reach.
#3: Use your Blog wisely
Use your blog strategically to draw in the right audience which will be interested in your course. Talk tips & benefits, including some links to your opt-in’s too!
Like your opt-in, your blog can take form of written, video & also audio too.
Be smart with your SEO wording as this will also help you become more discoverable online.
Your blog plan can include:
Educational posts about what you do & the topic of your online program
Pain points & solutions
Build trust and credibility; including case studies, media exposure & testimonials
Take the audience through what’s included in your program
Include your email opt-in within these articles. If you course is live, then link to your Sales Page.
#4: Use Social Media to drive awareness to your Blogs
Beyond organic reach on your social media, try some paid ads.
Use the ‘name of your ideal client’ in some of your blog titles as this helps with SEO and also click-throughs.
#5: Email for sales
Your blog posts and the topics should lead the email marketing for your launch.
Telling people about your online program and inviting them to buy doesn’t really work. Tell them stories through your Social Media newsfeed & stories, Newsletter & Blog Articles.
As you become closer to the launch date, place more urgency within your communication. Early Bird and Limited Offers work well.
Follow through with your plan. Do not self-doubt …. this does not drive sales!
#6: Launch Time!
While stressful and a self doubt naturally kicks in, it’s important to enjoy the launch.
I always say, remember to celebrate along the journey!!!!
