Tech Ready Women has announced that they will be investing $50, 000 into a female founder this year
The latest State Of Australian Startup Funding report found that only 15% of total capital was granted to female founders in 2024. However Tech Ready Women, which was founded by serial entrepreneur Christie Whitehill is closing the gap.
Tech Ready Women (TRW) and Scalere Partners have announced that they will be investing $50, 000 into a female founded startup off the back of their next National Investment Ready Program.
The program, which will be open to 20 female founders (apply here) will run for five months from April - October 2025. It is an inclusive, accessible and supportive program, equipping women with the skills, network and confidence to raise capital and take their innovative businesses to the next level.
One participant will secure a $50, 000 investment, of which at least $25, 000 cash from Scalare Partners as well as equal value support services to help scale their business. The terms will be agreed upon with the selected founder and investment made within 60 days of the program completion.
About Tech Ready Women
Tech Ready Women is an Australian organisation empowering female entrepreneurs to build tech startups without prior tech experience. Through innovative programs, marketing initiatives and community events, Tech Ready Women equips female founders with the skills, mentorship and funding opportunities to see their business succeed.
The organisation has previously partnered with local and Federal governments, universities and organisations who share its passion for increasing diversity and gender equality in business.
They have also received $200K in funding via the Queensland Government’s Accelerating Female Founders Program. This investment means Queensland-based female founders can receive a partial scholarship towards a Queensland specific cohort of the five-month Investment Ready Program.
This five-month program is for female founders wanting to take their business to new heights. You’ll need to have a scalable solution that solves a problem for one or multiple customer groups; first-time users or customers; and a company structure (or be in the process of registering your company). By the end of the program, you’ll walk away with investor connections and all the tools you need to raise capital confidently, including the perfect pitch deck, investment strategy and prospecting plan.
Cost: $6295. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Advance Queensland Initiative, 20 Queensland-based participants can access the program for just $795.30.
