Alana Clarkson, an impressive entrepreneur has discovered a solution-focused activewear brand, Idea Athletic that aims to take the sweat patches out of our activewear for good! After two intense years of R+D, Alana can confirm that her product is sweatproof, solving a major problem that so many women have when it comes to working out and feeling confident.

Alana was a gym instructor for over 10 years and she always heard the same complaint from women about getting sweat marks in their crotch and bust regions whenever they sweat. After two years of research and development, Alana has come up with a solution. 

First, she looked all over for an existing product to buy for herself to solve the problem. When nothing suitable presented itself, Alana realised there was a huge gap in the market for solution-focused sweat-proof activewear that worked due to it having a point of difference, and she set out on a mission to create a solution. 

“I was fairly naive when I first set out on this mission,” says Alana. 

“I managed to create a functional product through my innovation patented “invisiSweat” technology early, however, it took me a while to perfect the fit as my original range didn’t work for many body types. I have just spent the last 6 months perfecting the high-waisted fit, and customers love it. We have sold thousands of pairs. Building the company has been challenging with mental burnout, massive workloads and having to go back to the drawing board after our original launch, but I can now say I am truly proud of what I have created. A solutions-focused but fun and chic range of products that women love."

Idea Athletic’s designs feature their own Australian innovation patented sweat-absorbing bamboo lining throughout the bust, crotch and rear panels called invisiSweat.. The bamboo design absorbs sweat, minimising visible crotch and bust sweat.
