Tips To Organise Your Life

It is very rare to find someone out there who feels they are organised. You might have the rare week when you feel so, but soon life can get on top of you leaving you feeling in disarray. If this is the case, there are many ways you can sort yourself and your life to make it more organised and keep it that way going forward. Whether you run your own business, are on the road a lot, work from a factory manufacturing items such as large retractable truck tarps, or are a stay at home parents, your life can feel like a blur. Here are some top tips to organise your life.

Write down your tasks in order of importance each day

Let’s face it, while we might make to-do lists, it is rare we do them in order. More likely than not, we do the easiest tasks first as we can’t quite face tackling the most difficult ones right away. Instead, tackle the harder tasks first, just think, your day can only go up from there! If you have something with a tight deadline get that done asap, you don’t want it hanging over your head all day, or annoying a client by missing out on the deadline. Cross off the tasks when you do them - you will be surprised at what a feeling of accomplishment you feel once you do so!

Have a declutter

Whether this is of your office, your home, or your home study, if you are trying to get things done in a space that is filled with clutter, you aren’t like to have much luck. Remember the saying, “tidy life, tidy mind” and think of this each time you go to keep something that should be thrown, or pile up your papers instead of filing them away nicely. While it can feel a bit of a nightmare at first, once you get into the habit of not keeping clutter and having a place for everything, you will find it much easier. Set aside a day to do a big clear out and take everything to the tip when you are done.

Don’t be afraid to delegate

Delegation is not a sign of weakness and is a great way to ensure your life is that bit more organised. Whether you enrol a friend or family member to come round and help watch the kids while you get the house organised, or you delegate certain tasks to other team members of your business, you will be grateful that you have done it. Ensure you don’t take the mickey and get rid of everything, but if you are struggling to stay on top of your workload this can sort the problem.

These are just a few tips to help organise your life. The sooner you follow these, the sooner you can begin to reap in the benefits. It doesn’t take much to get sorted and small steps can make a big difference both to your business and personal life.
