Below are my 5 tips for naming your small healthy business:
1. First impressions
Your business name gives your audience an instant impression on who / what your business is. Decisions for you to make:
- Name the business your name e.g.: alisonmorgan.com
- Create an abstract name e.g.: The Relauncher OR
- Create a descriptive business name e.g.: Health & Wellness Business Solutions
2. Less is more
I'm a firm believer that less is more.
Choose a business name which is simple and catchy. I prefer 1-2 word business names. Any more and it can be difficult to remember.
3. Keep it open
Create a business name which will allow the business to evolve.
If the name is too descriptive, you may find it hinders the growth of the business. You want to avoid having to change the business name down the track!
4. Let it marinate
Don't be too quick to proceed. Let the chosen business name settle in your mind for a while and see if it still resonates with you after a week or so.
Choosing a business name is a very important element and shouldn't be rushed.
Run it past a few friends to gain feedback too!
