The Meat District Co is a successful LA restaurant recently launched in Sydney, serving an addictive paddock to plate inspired menu.
The restaurant is spread across two storeys. Upstairs is a bar and dining space with stunning views of the harbour. Downstairs has a fabulous open kitchen displaying hanging cured meats, along with alfresco dining backing onto the harbour.
I ordered the vegetarian Naked Burger i.e.: a burger without the bun. As I'm writing this and seeing the pic above, I'm wishing I could get my hands on one right now - yes, it was that good!
We also ordered the Grilled Watermelon Salad with goats cheese and hazelnuts, pic above.
Above is the Beet salad with goat curd, roasted apple, radish, watercress and walnut pesto. This salad was incredibly tasty too.
My husband and eldest son ordered the Cheese Burger made with sustainable meat and my other son ordered the Classic Dog. All meat is high quality and sustainable.
I highly recommend this restaurant, whether you're eating out with family, friends or work colleagues. The prices are incredibly reasonable given the location, quality of ingredients and paddock to plate menu.
