Hospitality during COVID-19, Business with Mark Kennedy
Got Bread are a Sydney based bread and baked goods delivery service. The owner, Mark Kennedy was supplying directly to cafes via his business Italpane before COVID hit and had to shift his business and is now delivering directly to consumers.
The Coronavirus has thrown out some surprising trends in the hospitality sector. Joining Business Coach, Alison Morgan, in this episode is Mark Kennedy, founder of newly established Got Bread.
Mark Kennedy said that in these uncertain times, bread should be one staple you can rely on. “We previously delivered to Sydney cafes, but all of that closed down almost overnight,” says Mark. “We were stuck. We had a great team, beautiful bakeries and nowhere to go. So, I thought, why not just deliver bread straight to customers?”
Since recording this Podcast episode last week, with the recent relaxation of restrictions, Mark has closed the doors of Got Bread and refocused his attention to the original business model supplying directly to cafes.
