Planet Protector Packaging with Joanne Howarth
Joanne Howarth is a social entrepreneur, founder & CEO of the insulated, environmentally friendly packaging company, Planet Protector Packaging; a company leading the way in sustainable alternative solutions to harmful plastic transportation packaging by using sheep's wool.
Joanne grew up with parents who raised her to believe that she could do anything, which gave her an inner strength & resilience that followed her into her career. After studying at the University of Sydney & the University of Technology Sydney, Joanne discovered that it is not the amount of money earnt in a career, but the difference that career makes to the lives of others, to communities & to the planet.
In this Business Podcast episode with Business Coach, Alison Morgan, the conversation with Jo is all about creating a sustainable alternative, business growth and raising awareness of this packaging alternative.
Understanding consumers concerns about packaging sustainability, Joanne established a way to provide businesses that require insulated packaging to transport perishables or delicate items with an environmentally-friendly alternative to EPS, made from sheep's waste wool. Not only is Planet Protector Packaging’s Woolpack renewable, recyclable, biodegradable & sustainable, but it also outperforms the capabilities of polystyrene packaging at the same price point. Joanne & her team at Planet Protector Packaging are passionate about supporting Aussie & Kiwi sheep growers, especially during recent tough times of bushfires & drought.
