Saffron Road Founder Michelle Delapierre

Fuelled by a passion for travel and an affinity for the mystical and exotic, Michelle Delepierre founder of Saffron Road created the brand.

As a young woman, Michelle travelled the ancient trade routes of India and Nepal in search of rare embroideries and textiles. After sourcing materials, Michelle had them crafted into beautiful bohemian-style clothes and accessories, then brought them back to Sydney's Bondi Markets where customers were captivated by the craftsmanship, prints and patterns. 

Exploring distant lands and channelling creativity into designs brought Michelle a great deal of joy and fulfilment. 

The label was then in bricks and mortar retail for several years before moving online. It was at this point Michelle saw tremendous growth along with building a community. Profit increased by 2000%.

 Michelle also changed her money mindset & found her niche. All these elements helped with increased sales.
