Tori Clapham, Founder of Peaches Pilates
Tori Clapham founder of Peaches Pilates joins Business Coach, Alison Morgan in this Mindfulbiz Podcast episode.
Tori started practising pilates from the age of 14, going to classes weekly with her Mum and now she has made it her business! Before she started teaching pilates in 2013, Tori was the Editor at MTV Travel and also worked as the Creative Coordinator for the Creative and Production departments at MTV. Tori’s MTV co-workers were actually her first pilates students.
Tori’s passion for pilates is based around the effectiveness of it as a targeted workout, especially allowing you to target the glutes, unlike many other forms of exercise. In addition, the positive impact pilates has on mental health, specifically, allowing you to clear your mind and focus, has been a huge driver for Tori wanting to share her love of pilates with women all over Sydney.
Tori has since teamed up with her husband Chris Hole and now Co-Owner Bec Chidiac to create an incredible business which spans three studio locations in Sydney (Bondi, Maroubra and Cronulla). Tori and Bec also oversee regular events for their Peaches members from their annual ‘Love Your Peach’ event which celebrates positive body image and a healthy approach to diet and exercise - or as they call it “make people feel fucking awesome” - as well as their ‘Peachy Vacay’ retreat trips.
Outside of her successful business, Tori is a doula, helping to coach women through childbirth. A passionate cook (and dinner party entertainer - read: wine drinker), Tori shares healthy and delicious recipes to inspire the Peaches Pilates community to get cooking. Her mission here is to let people know that anyone can cook not only nutritious, but seriously yummy food - without a million ingredients or complicated techniques.
